Canada based Lawyer Miguna Miguna is upbeat about his return to kenya. The self-styled general has been out of the country for almost five years after being deported from the country by the uhuru Kenyatta government on claims that his Kenyan passport had expired and that he was not a Kenyan but a Canadian.
The exiled lawyer took to social media to announce that he would be touching down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday, October 20, 2022. “Due to public demand.” Dr Miguna said as he revised his day of return. He had earlier announced the D-day to be 25th October 2022 but his supporters urged him to touch down on Mashujaa Day because to them, Miguna Miguna was a hero.

“Arrival date and time have been changed by popular demand. Arrival: October 20, 2022 at 6.00 AM. See you at the JKIA, Patriots,” Miguna said in a tweet.
The exiled lawyer on Tuesday revealed that he had gotten his Kenyan passport back, noting that it was made possible by President William Ruto who had previously promised to facilitate his homecoming.
Miguna said that he was waiting for the government to lift the red alerts issued against him which had been barring his return despite several attempts.
“1687 days after Uhuru Kenyatta, @RailaOdinga, Fred Matiang’i, @Karanjakibicho and @GKihalangwa CONSPIRED to illegally SEIZE and DESTROYED my Kenyan Passport, President @WilliamsRuto has had a new one DELIVERED to me. Waiting for the LIFTING of RED ALERTS,” Miguna wrote on Twitter.
He further claimed that he was not required to sign any documents as previously ordered for him to acquire the travel document.
“I didn’t have to sign the silly forms they were speaking about.”
The controversial lawyer put Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho on notice as he prepares to return to Kenya
