City title hopes Kane’d by history making Harry.

Harry Kane stole the headlines at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he netted the only goal in Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Manchester City to overtake Jimmy Greaves and become the club’s outright leading goalscorer, denting City’s title hopes in the process.

Manchester City have lost away to Spurs for the FOURTH consecutive time in the Premier League.

And they still haven’t scored at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Spurs have faced Pep Guardiola’s Man City five times at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium:

✅ 1-0

✅ 2-0

✅ 2-0

✅ 1-0

✅ 1-0

100% win rate with 0 goals conceded.

City were becoming increasingly frustrated by their lack of chances, but with Spurs having conceded at least twice in their last five PL home games, hope remained they could complete another famous turnaround. City failed to translate that into meaningful opportunities though, as their remarkable record of having never scored a goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium continued.

It marked another dark day for Pep Guardiola, with this the stadium he has visited most without winning. His opposite number may not have been in the dugout after undergoing surgery, but Antonio Conte will have been delighted to watch his side see the victory over the line, despite losing Cristian Romero to a second yellow card in the dying moments.

Harry Kane’s 200th #PL goal moves Spurs within one point of the top-four 💪
