Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has slammed the Reds for their “shambolic” defending against Wolves. Star centre-back Virgil van Dijk has been ruled out of their last three Premier League games with a hamstring injury.
The Dutchman is set to return to training next week, but in his absence, the Reds have failed to win a league game. And Carragher believes their problems stem from the other members of their defence failing to step up in Van Dijk’s absence.
He labelled Liverpool “shambolic” in the aftermath of the defeat to Wolves on Saturday. And he criticised the likes of Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate for failing to deal adequately with Van Dijk’s absence.
