Manchester City have been charged by the Premier League for breaking multiple Financial Fair Play rules.
The charges relate to financial information regarding revenue, details of manager and player remuneration, UEFA regulations, profitability and sustainability and co-operation with Premier League investigations.

A “range of sanctions”—including points deductions or even expulsion from the league—are possible if the charges are proved.
The Premier League opened their investigation in March 2019 and the charge sheet makes reference to every season from September of 2009/10 to the 2017/18 season.
In a statement, the Premier League said: “In accordance with Premier League Rule W.82.1, the Premier League confirms that it has today [February 6 2023] referred a number of alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules by Manchester City Football Club (Club) to a commission under Premier League Rule W.3.4.
