Jubilee party Secretary General has condemned the over 30 Jubilee leaders who went to statehouse on Wednesday morning and pledged their allegiance to President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration.
“We are aware that this move by Ruto is to kill in contrary opinion and to ensure that there is no voice to speak against the ills of his illegitimate government,
He is intent on hiking taxes, selling public facilities like government parastatals and passing policies without any opposition,” he added.
The former Ndaragwa MP further revealed that they went to statehouse on their own volition and that the Jubilee party leadership was no in any way consulted.
As a result of them acting unilaterally against the wish of the party, a disciplinary committee has already been put in place to deal with them.
The former lawmaker also revealed that President Ruto wants to buy all elected leaders in parliament such a that he won’t have anyone questioning his excesses.
“He wants to be president for life… He is buying all those MPs so that when he takes the bill to parliament nobody will oppose it” added the Jubilee party spokesman.
Jeremiah Kioni further said that Ruto is jittery because the Azimio la Umoja anti government rallies had started picking steam. The opposition team has already held three rallies in Nairobi and planning one on Friday in Machakos and another on Sunday in Busia.
Mr Kioni who is seen as the foremost of the Uhuru Kenyatta loyalists, added that the rallies will continue as planned even as he plans to launch the “Njaa revolution” protests against the high cost of living ravaging the country.
