Man City are reportedly ‘determined’ to beat Liverpool and Real Madrid to sign Jude Bellingham but their plans for the summer could be ‘scuppered’.
Bellingham is set to leave Borussia Dortmund later this year as clubs around Europe are interested in him.
Dortmund were keen to retain him last summer as they were unwilling to let him and Erling Haaland leave the club during the same transfer window.
City are looking to strengthen in midfield and at left back this summer, with Jude Bellingham, the Borussia Dortmund and England star, and Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell among their top targets. The club are also interested in Declan Rice, the West Ham United midfielder, and the AC Milan forward Rafael Leão.
The Premier League charged the club with 115 alleged breaches of financial rules on Monday. Sources have told The Times that those charges and their potential repercussions have sparked concern among some transfer targets.
