Azimio la Umoja held a people’s Baraza in Machakos after a two day parliamentary group meeting in the midst of a rebellion by some members.
The main theme of the party’s retreat was castigating those whom they deemed to be against the coalition’s stance.
The parliamentary group meeting came on the backdrop of nine Member from ODM and other 30 from Azimio affiliate Jubilee, trooped to statehouse where they pledged their allegiance to Dr Ruto and promised to work with them.
In the Machakos rally which was well attended, the Azimio leadership scaled up their attack on William Ruto’s government
They maintain that they don’t recognise President William Ruto’s administration terming it illegitimate.
The leaders says they will not be intimidated asserting that they will continue agitating for their constitutional rights as they defend their win.
The group reiterates that it will not participate in the reconstitution of IEBC through the formula and process being proposed by the Kenya Kwanza regime
They vow to continue review the state of the Kenyan nation that is currently characterised by rising frustrations and anger over high cost of living.
Azimio will be heading to Busia on Sunday and thereafter to Kisii as they continue with their calls for the Ruto administration to resign
