PSG could move for Pep Guardiola

Managing Paris Saint-Germain is Pep Guardiola’s ‘dream’ and the Manchester City boss could make the move to France next year.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a PSG target, with the future of the club in doubt following financial investigation

City have been referred to an independent commission over alleged Premier League rule breaches between 2009 and 2018. City are also accused of not co-operating since the investigation began in December 2018.

Manager Pep Guardiola has said in the past that he would quit over financial rule-breaking – and PSG have a long-standing interest in the Catalan boss.

Guardiola only signed an extension to his current City deal(opens in new tab) in November last year, however, while Christophe Galtier was only hired at the Parc des Princes over the summer.

Having been at Man City since 2016, Guardiola has had a successful reign in charge, although he has yet to win them their first Champions League crown. This season may be his final chance, if he does indeed decide to leave.

Pep Guardiola signed a new deal with Manchester City in November, keeping him at the club until 2025. He has won 11 trophies at the club, including four Premier League trophies in his six seasons at the club.

Signing his new deal, the Spaniard said:

“From day one I felt something special being here. I cannot be in a better place. I am so pleased to be staying at Manchester City for another two years. I can’t say thank you enough to everyone at the club for trusting me. I am happy and comfortable, and I have everything I need to do my job as best as possible.”
