In what portends to be an epic battle for the control of former ruling party, Jeremiah Kioni has been suspended from his position as the party’s secretary General and EALA MP Kanini Kega fronted as his replacement.
This comes at a time when Jeremiah Kioni has joined Azimio La Umoja Party leaders Raila Odinga’s call for anti government rallies as they seek to apply pressure on Ruto to resign.
The party’s top brass met today in Nakuru during a Parliamentary Group Meeting running parallel to one organized by Azimio Coalition in Maanzoni.
The Jubilee Party chairman Nelson Dzuya announced this even as he accused the former Ndaragwa MP of misconduct, neglect and laxity.
In the meeting which was graced by MPs who had visited Statehouse and pledged their allegiance to president William Ruto, the National Executive Council also announced that they have set in motion the process of leaving Azimio officially.
The MPs present further reiterated their position that they are not in any way supporting the ongoing anti government rallies.
