Advice Mundalo the Jubilee Party Youth League chairman has castigated the breakaway Jubilee faction on what he termed as a coup that will not see the light of day.
This was after the group led by party chairman Nelson Dzuya said that a section of National Executive Committee had suspended Jeremiah Kioni as the Party secretary General and in his place Kanini Kega was fronted in an acting capacity. National vice chairman David Murathe was also deposed by the Sabina Chege faction.
“I sit on the National Executive Committee and we have not called for such a meeting, those who purport to effect leadership changes in the party have no mandate to do that, they are just busy bodies championing for their own stomachs,” Mr Mundalo said in a statement at the party headquarters.
“I want to state categorically that Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta is and remains as party leader of the party, Hon Jeremiah Kioni and Hon David Murathe remain party Secretary General and party vice chairman respectively and legitimately. Hon Kagwe Gichohi also remains the national treasurer of the party.” The Youth league chairman said
The communication consultant also dismissed the Sabina Chege-led faction for saying that the Jubilee party will be leaving Azimio. Mr. Mundalo reiterated that Jubilee was in Azimio to stay and at the moment they are in the business of fighting for the people to ensure that the cost of living goes down.
“The business of fighting for people’s rights is not easy and only the brave will stick to the course till the end.” Mr Mundalo added.
He was flanked by the party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, Upper Savanna MCA Stazo, KUSO President Anthony Manyara among other leaders.
