Azimio La Umoja party leader Raila Odinga made his way to the funeral ceremony of the late Prof Magoha at Odera Akang’o campus and normal programming had to be interrupted as he arrived when Education CS Machogu was making his speech.

The former premier arrived with a multitude of supporters while adorned in traditional Luo regalia complete with a shield, flywhisk, and spear.

Raila then sang a Luo dirge as he chanted “Jowi! Jowi!” much to the excitement of locals who joined him. Traditional dancers also accompanied the Azimio leaders and they kept guests entertained.

After performing the traditional Luo rites, he went to the main podium and joined former President and Handshake brother Uhuru Kenyatta who had earlier arrived to a wild and rousing welcome from the mourners.
