Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has come out to admonish the Azimio coalition of contributing to the unbearable times Kenyans are going through.
Mr Gachagua said that Azimio’s countrywide rallies are standing in the way of Kenya Kwanza development agenda.
He said that the anti Government rallies are stalling government activities even as they try to bring down the cost of living.
The Deputy head of state went further and asked the former president Uhuru to keep off the rallies as they were shameful. He blamed the former premier for dragging the Azimio chairman into his rallies and demonstrations.
” The way am seeing things, it’s likely that this old man (Raila) will take retired president Kenyatta and ask him to pelt stones or ask him to sit on the roads singing ‘haki yetu’ which is shameful” Gachagua said.
He went on to fault the former president for attending roadside rallies with his handshake partner Raila Odinga on their way from former CS Magoha’s burial.
Gachagua implored on Uhuru to leave the demos and enjoy his retirement. He urged him to focus on his role as the lead negotiator for the peace processes in the East Africa Community as he seeks to bring peace in Ethiopia, South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo.
“Please retired president, William Ruto has given you respect and appointed you in a national duty to unite Africa. So tour these nations and restore peace” stated the second in command.
