President William Ruto has rewarded his allies who supported him in the last election with Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) positions.
They include, Cleophas Malala who lost the Kakamega gubernatorial contest to Fernandes Barasa has been appointed CAS Interior, Caleb Cositany who landed the Lands and housing docket while Millicent Omanga was appointed to the Health docket.
Purity Ngirici has been appointed CAS Wildlife and Tourism, Charles Njagua (Jaguar) has been appointed CAS youth affairs and sports.
Also on the list is Khatib Mwashetani who has landed the transport and public works docket.
Isaac Mwaura who lost the Ruiru constituency contest to Simon Kingara has also been appointed CAS Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises.
Anastasia Mwende -Mining and Blue economy. Other allies rewarded include Benjamin Washiali who is now the CAS in the Agriculture ministry. Okoth Obado has also been appointed to the Defence ministry.
Amina Hussein – Education, Victor Munyaka – Environment and forestry, Steven Kamau- Energy and petroleum, Trade, Investment and Industry – Henry Kiplagat, Keimosi Mogaka- ICT.
East Africa Community – Margaret Gicheru, Treasury and Planning – Kevin Kemboi. Rehema Hassan – Foreign Affairs, Labour and Social protection – Anwar Oloitiptip, Water and Sanitation- Eunice Ole Mukoma.
