I was offered Nairobi Deputy Governor position but I declined

Nominated MP Sabina Chege has revealed that Kenya Kwanza coalition had approached her and urged her to dump Azimio for Kenya Kwanza where she had been promised to deputize Johnson Sakaja in the Nairobi gubernatorial contest that saw Sakaja team up with James Muchiri to beat Azimio’s Polycarp Igathe who had joined forces with Philip Kaloki of Wiper.

The former Muranga county Women Representative MP, revealed in an interview with a local TV station that she sacrificed that to campaign for azimio leader Raila Odinga.

In the candid interview, Sabina Chege expressed her admiration for former President Uhuru kenyatta but faulted him for not nurturing leaders like other political kingpins.

“You did nothing to build us to become accomplished leaders compared to how we are seeing other party leaders do,” she said.

Sabina Chege is part of the breakaway faction that seeks to dissociate Jubilee Party from Azimio. She has since denounced her support for Azimio leader Raila Odinga and pledged her allegiance to President Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration.

The Nominated MP who has since been replaced as Minority Whip blames the Orange Democratic party for what she termed as betrayal of the Jubilee Party for the woes that are facing the former ruling party.

The legislator also alleged that Jubilee was shortchanged when leadership roles were being shared out. Jubilee, she said, was supposed to be handed the deputy minority leader in the National Assembly as well as a seat on the powerful Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).

She urged Uhuru to preach peace at home as she maintained that she will not participate in the anti-government rallies.
