Babu Owino Elected Secretary General of Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association

 

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been elected as the Secretary General of Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association. This association brings together young members of Parliament across the political divide as they seek to address matters facing the youths in Kenya on the floor of the August house.

The youthful Parliamentarians had their inaugural meeting in November last year where they vowed to work together and champion for the Kenyan youth.

Others elected include, Molo MP Kuria Kimani as the patron with Hon Donya Doris being elected as his assistant, Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi was elected as the chairperson and he will be assisted by Hon Udgoon Siyad and Hon Gideon Kimaiyo.

Hon Essy Okenyuri and Hon Mark Mwenje will assist Hon Babu Owino as vice Secretary Generals.

Nominated senator Hezena Lemaletian will serve as treasurer assisted by Betty Maina and Joshua Kimilu.

Starehe MP Amos Mwago was elected as Organizing secretary assisted by Gitonga Mukunji and Robert Basil.

Nyandarua senator John Methu was elected the group’s chief whip as Irene Mayaka assists him.

Also elected were Josses Lelmengit and Hon Amina Mnyazi who were chosen as members of the executive committee.

Antony Buluma will serve as the outfit’s Chief Executive Officer
