“Bring it on!” Kenya Kwanza dares Raila

The Kenya Kwanza administration has told off Raila Odinga over his planned mass action. They say they are ready to take him head on and that he will be dealt with firmly, ruthlessly and decisively.

Leaders allied to President Ruto have come out to defend his government even as they dare Raila Odinga to go ahead with his calls for mass action.

The former Prime Minister announced the start of a countrywide mass action which will be conducted by peaceful processions, boycotts, sit ins and civil disobedience which will then culminate in a major protest in Nairobi on 20th March.

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa weighed in on the matter and dismissed it as a ploy for the former Prime Minister to get into a handshake with President Ruto.

“You can protest for as much as you want, and as long as you want but there will be no handshake between Raila and Ruto,” Ichung’wah declared, but also supported plans to amend the Constitution and create the office of the official opposition

“It is a position that will strengthen and deepen our democracy and create greater accountability in government as you push for accountability to the people of Kenya,” Ichung’wah divulged.

United Democratic Alliance Secretary General Cleophas Malala on his part laughed off the planned protests rallies saying that they will not amount to anything. He further said that they will not be intimidated to a handshake and that the opposition leader should go through him (Malala) when he wants to reach the president.

“If he couldn’t storm the DCI headquarters, how will he manage to enter statehouse?” Malala chided the Azimio leader

Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot thinks that Raila is just giving his supporters hope as he gets one more week to threaten Ruto into a handshake.

Basically, RAO is telling his supporters to give him one more week to try and threaten WSR into opening the feeding trough for him as Uhuru did. I have sad news for him, the current one takes no prisoners, suffers no fools gladly & can never buys fear. Change tact please.” Aaron Cheruiyot posted on his twitter handle
