Sakaja calls for a Handshake between Ruto and Raila

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has called for a dialogue between Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President Ruto even as he called out hardliners in the President’s circle.

Speaking after a church service in Kahawa west, Roysambu constituency the governor urged the president to seek out Raila Odinga for the sake of peace and stability of the economy.

“The economy is tough and the people are suffering. People’s livelihoods are at stake and now that things are picking up, it is time for us to talk,” the Governor remarked.

He asked the president to acknowledge all leaders and listen to their legitimate concerns

Governor Sakaja asked the president to make decisions that are hard because the country is bigger than an individual

Sakaja also called for inclusion such that every Kenyan feels as kenyan as any other kenyan.

However, the Governor said without mentioning names, that some people around president Ruto are not for unity and they don’t want people to unite

He wondered why they are afraid of unity even as tension is rising in the country. The county boss confirmed that he already received concerns from entrepreneurs in Nairobi over the mass action slated to be conducted in the capital city on March 20.
