Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has warned security agencies against stopping Azimio from exercising their right to demonstrate as it is enshrined in the constitution.
He warned the police agencies by giving them examples of those who had been caught on the wrong side of the law.
“I want to warn our police officers, we shall be going for demonstrations whether you like it or not. Remember Major General Ali who was taken to the Hague for killing people? Those who were arresting Gachagua have all been sent home, all those attached to Special Service Unit (SSU) have all been sent home. Those who killed people in 2017 are in court and they will all be jailed for life.” Babu Owino told a charged crowd in Narok.
The Azimio brigade had pitched tent in Narok county as they continue with their public rallies aimed at pushing Ruto out of power.
This was the second rally after Azimio leader Raila Odinga announced the start of mass action which will culminate into a major procession in the capital on 20th March.
On Friday the Azimio team was in Migori county and on Sunday the team is expected to hold a series of rallies in Mombasa county.
