Please Show us some respect!- President Ruto Responds to Raila’s calls for Mass action

President William Ruto has shot back at Azimio leader Raila Odinga over his plans for a mega procession as a culmination of Mass action to exert pressure to the Kenya Kwanza regime. Raila is agitating for the government to lower the cost of living even as he pursues what he calls electoral justice.

The president assured Kenyans that they will be safe as he say that it is Raila’s responsibility to work with security agencies to ensure that the demonstrations are peaceful and that they will not led to any loss of life, destruction of property or looting.

Ruto said that Kenya is a country governed by law and that the law will not be applied selectively.

“I want to tell my elder brother Raila Odinga that we cant have two sets of law and we shall not be intimidated by threats and violence” Added the president

“We will not allow people who have refused to accept election results to cause chaos among peace-loving people” Said the president.

Dr Ruto was speaking at statehouse where he had hosted leaders from Trans Nzoia county led by Governor George Natembeya who pledged to work with the Kenya Kwanza regime to actualize development for his people.

He further stated that Kenyans have a right to demonstrate but must do so peacefully and within the confines of the law.

“Raila has been holding bloody and chaotic demonstrations for the last 50 years, he needs to assure kenyans that this time it will be different”
