Uhuru please ask your Brother Raila to call off the tomorrows demonstrations- DP Gachagua

The Deputy President has pleaded with former President Uhuru Kenyatta to prevail upon his handshake brother not to go on with his plans for mass action.

The Azimio leader has gone ahead and rallied his supporters to assemble in the Central Business District before beginning their grand march to statehouse.

The Deputy president said this at an interdenominational thanksgiving service in Nandi county.

“Please Uhuru Kenyatta nakuomba within the few remaining hours look for your brother tell him to stop that nonsense of getting people to Nairobi to come and destroy property,” he said.

Mr Gachagua claimed that Uhuru has witnessed the destabilisation of Kenya’s economy saying it would be unfair to Kenyans for him to watch as Raila plans on further ruining what remained of it.

“It is immoral, unacceptable, it is ungodly and it cannot be accepted in a normal society.” Gachagua went on.

The Kenya Kwanza luminaries have been training their guns on the former president accusing him of fomenting rebellion and undermining the leadership of President Ruto through the former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Raila on the other hand, has refuted the claims terming them hogwash. He explained that the retired President is too busy with his AU envoy roles to take part in planning the demos.

“Uhuru has nothing to do with this. As you know he has been outside the country most of the time. Lately he was in Nigeria observing election and from there I think he went somewhere else and just arrived back few days ago. He has not been part of us at all,” he said.
