Azimio la Umoja leaders have been arrested when they tried to gain access into the Kenyatta International Conference Center which has been earmarked as the meeting point for Azimio supporters before they start their grand march to statehouse.

Senate leader of the Minority Stewart Madzayo who also doubles up as the Kilifi senator, Malindi MP Hon  Amina Mnyazi and Hon Ken Chonga have been arrested and taken to central police station awaiting to be booked.

National assembly Minority leader Hon Opiyo Wandayi has also been put under police custody

There has been running battles in the CBD as police dispersed crowds led by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and other Azimio leaders.

Sifuna and his group had temporarily accessed KICC before police came and lobbed teargas.
