Leaders allied to President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition have come out to criticize the Azimio leader and his alleged financer former president Uhuru Kenyatta over yesterday’s protests and calling for his arrest
The press briefing which was attended by party luminaries including the UDA chairperson Cecily Mbarire and National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa laid blame on the Azimio leader for the protests which paralized activities in the capital Nairobi and in the lakeside city of Kisumu.
Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa heaped all the blame on Azimio leader Raila Odinga together with his handshake partner former president Uhuru Kenyatta for the protests turning ugly.
He further accused the two leaders for inciting Kenyans into rebellion so that they hide inquiries about how they misappropriated funds in the last regime.
Embu governor Cecily Mbarire who also doubles up as the UDA chairlady urged the Inspector General to review evidence and charge them in court for the damage caused.
UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala on his part accused the opposition of causing mayhem citing the destruction and burning of the UDA office in Kisumu.
Malala further said that they will be evaluating the cost of the damage done and petition the political parties fund to give UDA the amount taken from ODM’s share
