Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya have been summoned by the DCI, reasons for the summon still remain unclear.
The Nairobi senator revealed that although they have not received formal summons from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers, the coalition lawyer Danstan Omari told them that they need to avail themselves to the headquarters.
The ODM spokeperson intimated that the Kenya Kwanza regime is planning to arrest Raila Odinga but they are unable and thus they are going for his supporters
“What is happening here is the story of belling the cat. The Kenya Kwanza leadership, the police and their supporters are all in agreement that Raila should be arrested but where they are stuck is on who will arrest him.” Said the lawmaker.
“I am a very small player in all this, why are you looking for Oparanya, why are you looking for Sifuna? Why don’t you go for Raila himself and stop harassing us?” Sifuna posited
However he said that they will not be cowed and all their plans for tomorrow’s demonstrations will go on as planned while decrying the partiality of the investigative body.
“How can I be summoned before the people who made pronouncements that made people invade private property?” The legislator asked this in reference to leaders like Kimani Ichungwa who had preempted the invasion of former President Uhuru’s property before armed youths descended on his Northlands property.
