Kindiki revealed that these 35 people are linked to the planting of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on different dirt roads within the region.
Kenyans who possess information regarding these 35 individuals were encouraged to contact the police, and a significant financial reward would be given for information that results in their apprehension. Although the specific amount was not disclosed by Kindiki, he underscored that the reward was substantial.
“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is appealing to members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of thirty-five (35) armed and dangerous terror suspects, who are part of the Alshabaab terror network and are responsible for planning and orchestrating the deadly terrorist attacks and violence in Lamu County and the larger Boni Enclave,” read the notice in part.
Conversely, individuals in Kenya who wish to furnish information to security authorities without revealing their identity were also encouraged to come forward.
“Information on the whereabouts of any of the suspects may be channelled confidentially to the anonymous #FichuakwaDCI Hotline number 0800 722 203 or the police hotline number 999,” read the notice in part.
The public was cautioned to exercise vigilance in regard to the 35 individuals, who are regarded as armed and posing a significant threat.

This disclosure about the wanted individuals followed shortly after the Interior Cabinet Secretary announced his intention to make public the identities of both terrorism suspects and those who finance these activities.
