Renowned coastal musician Ally B, known for popular tracks like “Maria” and “Bembea,” has passed away due to a brief illness. The singer was declared deceased at Makadara Hospital in Mombasa.

It is reported that he was urgently hospitalized after complaining of not feeling well. Insider sources suggest that Ally B succumbed to complications related to high blood pressure. Fans and fellow celebrities expressed their sorrow on social media with heartfelt tributes. Ally B, whose real name is Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli, ventured into politics and contested for a County Assembly seat in Junda Ward, Kisauni, Mombasa County, on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017.           President William Ruto, alongside the nation, mourned Ally B’s passing, praising him as an artist who consistently promoted peace.
“I join the music fraternity in mourning the passing of Ally B, a musician who harnessed his talent to foster unity and harmony in our society.

“Ali Khamisi Mwanguli inscribed his message of peace deep within our hearts, and we will forever carry that meaningful tune. May God provide solace to his family, friends, and devoted fans,” President William Ruto wrote.
