Manchester United’s squad for the Champions League match against FC Copenhagen will feature Marcus Rashford once again. The team’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has emphasized that the striker remains dedicated to the club.

Despite a challenging season in terms of form, the 26-year-old missed the recent 1-0 victory against Fulham due to an injury sustained during training. However, he is set to travel and participate in Wednesday’s game, hoping to enhance his performance, considering he has scored only one goal in 14 games this season.
He’s investing hard work in training to get back into form,” said Ten Hag.
“Marcus is very committed to Manchester United.”
When asked if the England forward would be ready for the match in Denmark, Ten Hag replied: “100%. (He) missed one game with a small knock.”
During the 2022-2023 season, Marcus Rashford held the title of Manchester United’s top scorer, having scored 30 goals in various competitions. However, his goal-scoring form has significantly declined this season, with just one goal to his name, which occurred in a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in September.
Defender Victor Lindelof has also returned to the squad for the Copenhagen match after missing the recent game against Fulham, which Manchester United won late thanks to a goal by Bruno Fernandes.
Full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been recovering from an injury, might make his first appearance in European competitions this season. Additionally, 19-year-old Omari Forson has traveled with the team.
However, midfielder Casemiro remains sidelined due to a hamstring issue, and defenders Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Tyrell Malacia are also unavailable for the match.
Manchester United has faced a challenging start to the season, including consecutive 3-0 losses at home to their rivals, Manchester City in the Premier League and Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. Their recent victory against Fulham marked only their eighth win in 16 games across all competitions this season.
Manchester United had a challenging start to the Champions League group stage, suffering two defeats. However, their fortunes changed in their previous home match against Copenhagen, where they secured their first points, thanks to Harry Maguire’s header and an injury-time penalty save by Andre Onana.
Currently, they are trailing group leaders Bayern Munich by six points, with Turkish team Galatasaray in second place, holding a one-point advantage over United as they approach the upcoming fixtures on Wednesday.
A second victory over Copenhagen in their upcoming match could propel Manchester United back into the running for a spot in the last 16 of the competition. Nevertheless, Jacob Neestrup, the manager of the Danish side, believes it won’t be an easy task for United.
“For me, it’s not about hope. For me, it’s about strong belief that we can get a result,” said Neestrup.
“I think the game over 95 minutes [at Old Trafford] was totally equal and I expect the same tomorrow.”
He also promised United a hostile atmosphere inside Parken Stadium.
“What can they expect? When I stepped into Old Trafford then I felt the historical atmosphere,” he added.
“But you can’t compare Old Trafford with Parken because the intensity is times 100 in terms of what we played in two weeks ago.
“Then this is a standard (that), for me, is way above Premier League, to be honest.
