The rap star, aged 52, has announced on social media that he has chosen to quit smoking.

Snoop wrote on Instagram: “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
The social media update showcased a monochrome picture of the renowned rap figure, formerly recognized for his smoking inclination.
Snoop, boasting over 82 million followers on Instagram, accompanied the post with the caption: “I’m giving up smoke.”
Earlier in the year, Snoop asserted that he was reducing his smoking habits following the arrival of his grandchild.
The hitmaker of ‘What’s My Name?’ conveyed to MailOnline in March: “Becoming a grandfather has altered me in various ways.”
The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old. The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking. Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?”
Before that, Snoop stated that he consumed up to 81 “blunts” daily—these being cigars where marijuana substitutes for tobacco.
The rapper disclosed this information on social media in response to inquiries about his smoking practices.
